Well it is that time of year again, changing the clocks back one hour. But unfortunately just like most children and animals my body has an internal alarm that wakes me at just after 5am or in the case of this morning 4am clock time. Read an interesting article about the benefits of an extra hours sleep and the origins of time changing. "When do the clocks go back? Key facts about the switch to GMT" https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/oct/28/clocks-back-gmt-sleep-cancer-diabetes-high-blood-pressure-stress?CMP A parental duty I always perform twice a year is to inform my off-spring on the relevant Saturday night to change their time pieces and which way to go. Spring forward Fall (Autumn) back Wish they would leave the time alone and stop this twice yearly ritual. Also be aware that the USA do not change their clocks for another week!! |

As well as affianced couples, St Valentine is the patron saint of epilepsy, fainting,
plague, beekeepers and greetings card manufacturers. The saying goes. Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer. I would also urge you not to keep prodding a dog with a stick. The animal will eventually take no more and attack. Probably when you least expect it!!
Where in the World?
Take a moment to appreciate who and what is around you. Saviour the achievements you and others bring to the World. Peace of Mind and Body is hard to attain but well worth the effort. A wonderful state to be in. Nearly three years since I started my Blog. Alot has changed, including the slippers and fireplace.
Season's Greetings to you All. Wishing you a Peaceful Happy New Year. Warm wishes and thoughts to All the Mum's of this World and Heaven.
Last week I was asked by my daughter, why I don't post more frequently on my blog. Simple reply, I don't always have wisdoms to impart. I was also brought up with the saying; " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" Wise woman my Mum. Love you, think of you often. Departed this world far too early. They say the good die young. I'm going to live to a ripe old age. Enough said ;) I am an extrovert and optimist the majority of the time with occasional introvert, tendencies.
i.e. I like my own company at times to gather my thoughts together and relax. I have lots of acquaintance's but only a handful of friends who I have known for decades. If you know and understand yourself, you might have a chance of understanding other people's traits and understandings. If you don't know yourself or what you want, how are other people supposed to know or read your mind. In my opinion, with anything that you have a problem or difficulty with, the first step is learning you have a problem and admitting it to yourself. Only you can do that and then act to help yourself. The act might be asking somebody to educate or support you. But it has to come from you. Nobody else can live your life for you. Communication is a useful and powerful skill. |
