The leaves on the trees were a wonderful palate of colours, you can only marvel at Natures wonderfulness. The hedgerows had plenty of produce to forage, Brambles, Elderberry, Sloes, Rosehips and acorns. No beech nuts this year.
The road at different points allows you to see East to the North sea in the distance, West over greening fields of newly sprouted winter wheat. Along way South to Newcastle, which is 20 miles away. But the views North are my favourite with a long vista culminating to the far horizon of the Cheviot hills.
Doohh!!! I wish I had remembered to bring a camera.
Today was a great day to live here, but it is not always the case. The weather, terrain and lack of local amenities can be a challenge.
So take advantage of the days that are glorious. Don't put off things till tomorrow, as tomorrow might be a whole different story.
